Because BMW Ville de Québec and D2C Media value their users and their concerns about privacy, the companies engage in consistent information practices and use their best efforts to make clear disclosures regarding our privacy practices.
1.0 Types of Information Collected:
When you consult our website, we do not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, address, telephone number, social insurance number, billing and shipping information, credit card information or your email address unless this information is voluntarily provided.

2.0 Use of Information Collected
Please note that we may also share information in the event that we are asked to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, or as otherwise permitted by law.
In addition, we may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated information, such as the number of users who searched for a particular vehicle model, for example, or who have clicked on a particular advertisement. Such information does not identify you individually.

3.0 Business Partners
Our dealership may partner with select retailers and other companies at various times to provide expanded services to our site visitors. As part of such a relationship, we may share with these companies the use of certain interactive Web site functions (i.e. the E-Mail Reminder Service). Information provided by site visitors through the use of such interactive functions may be available to both our dealership and our partners. Our dealership shares personal information with BMW Group Canada.
Our dealership may use other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. Examples include administering e-mail services and running special promotions. Such parties only have access to the personal information needed to perform these functions and may not use or store the information for any other purpose. Subscribers or site visitors will never receive unsolicited e-mail messages from agents working on our behalf.
5.0 Retention & Disposal Practices:Our dealership will retain your personal information for only as long as necessary for the respective purpose(s) for which it was collected and for a longer period only as required for compliance with applicable law, our contractual obligations, or defending or pursuing legal proceedings. To comply with contractual obligations, personal information acquired from you can be kept for as long as the contract is in force and - depending on the nature and scope of the contract - for 6 or 10 years beyond this point in order to comply with legal requirements for record keeping and to ensure clarification of any queries or claims after the end of the contract. Personal information that in our opinion will be necessary to assess and avert claims against us or to initiate criminal proceedings or assert claims against you, us or third parties can be kept by us for as long as corresponding proceedings could be initiated. For customer care, personal information acquired from you can be kept for 3 to 10 years depending upon the specific purpose, unless you wish to have this information deleted or destroyed and there are no contractual or legal requirements for preservation that prevent this request for deletion or destruction. Personal information that is no longer required in accordance with the above statements will be destroyed, erased or made anonymous. Our dealership will take reasonable physical, electronic and managerial measures to protect personal information and to ensure that the handling, disposal or destruction of personal information is done in such a way as to prevent unauthorized parties from gaining access to the information.
6.0 Sensitive Personal Information
When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration, we may ask you to provide Sensitive Personal information. We will not collect or use Sensitive Personal information (which includes information we know to be related to confidential medical information, racial or ethnic origins, political or religious beliefs or sexuality and tied to personal information) for purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, unless we have obtained your prior consent.
You can decline to submit Sensitive Personal information to any of our services, in which case BMW Ville de Québec and D2C Media may not be able to provide those services to you.
7.0 Information security
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
We restrict access to personal information to BMW Ville de Québec and D2C Media employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
8.0 Changes to this policy
This Agreement will be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws in effect in Canada and in the province of Quebec and the competent courts of Montreal will have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings. This Agreement, and any modifications thereof, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof.
10.0 Contacting the Web Sites
